Frank Isaac

He was born in Havana. His first steps in performing arts were as part of the urban circus project for children CirHabana Circus. In 2017 he began his secondary level studies as a dancer at the National School of Art, after approving a free call for talented young people interested in dance. A year later he went on to study at the Acosta Danza Academy. During this period he performed choreographies such as the "Waltz of the flowers" from the Nutcracker ballet; Avium, by Ely Regina Hernández; Don Quixote Suite, by Carlos Acosta, together with the Acosta Danza company; Siervo, by Héctor Rodríguez and the “Vals de las horas” from the ballet Coppelia. She participated as an interpreter in the solo Sabbat, choreographed by Héctor Rodríguez, in the First Choreographic Contest of the Acosta Danza Academy. In April 2019, he participated in the public performance together with the Acosta Danza Company at the inauguration of the Línea Street Cultural Corridor, as part of the XIII Havana Contemporary Arts Biennial. En noviembre de 2021, forma parte de los bailarines del Proyecto Stretch Timemonochromes, de la coreógrafa belga Isabella Soupart, en el edificio Arte Cubano del Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, durante la celebración de la 14 Bienal de Arte Contemporáneo de La Habana. In November 2021, he is part of the dancers of the Stretch Timemonochromes Project, by Belgian choreographer Isabella Soupart, in the Cuban Art building of the National Museum of Fine Arts, during the celebration of the XIV Havana Contemporary Art Biennial.In 2022 he graduated as a professional dancer. He has danced pieces from the repertoire of the Acosta Danza company such as Hybrid, by Norge Cedeño; Paysage, soudain, la nuit, by the Swedish Pontus Lidberg; De punta a cabo, in the version of the original by Alexis Fernández (Maca); Satori, by Raúl Reinoso and Nosotros, by Beatriz García y Reinoso. He has also been part of the cast of Alrededor no hay nada, the work of the Spanish choreographer Goyo Montero; Two Dying Swans, by Carlos Acosta and Yaday Ponce, based on the original by Michel Fokine and Performance, by the American Micaela Taylor.
