On July 14 and 15, the show "Ajiaco" will be presented at the Teatro Piccolo Arsenale, in Venice, as part of the seventeenth edition of the Biennale Danza 2023 International Contemporary Dance Festival.

These performances, which mark the official debut of the Cuban company in Italy, will have as its main attraction the world premiere of 98 days, a creation by the Venezuelan choreographer Javier de Frutos, inspired by the season that the poet Federico García Lorca lived in Cuba.

The public will also enjoy the pieces Faun, by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui; Performance, by the American Micaela Taylor and De punta a cabo, a version based on the original choreography by the Cuban artist Alexis Fernández (Maca).

The Dance Biennial will be held from July 13 to 29 and is directed by the British choreographer Wayne McGregor. The program includes numerous appointments with soloists, world companies and various training projects.
