ACOSTA DANZA WILL PRESENT “FÉNIX”, THE NEW SEASON
Tue, 01/12/2020 - 12:00

Acosta Danza will present “Fénix”, its new season, on December 10, 11 and 12, at the García Lorca Hall of the Gran Teatro de La Habana Alicia Alonso.

After several months without being able to perform due to the situation imposed by the Coronovirus pandemic, the group returns to the scene with important works that summarize their five years of performances.

The program is made up of "El cruce sobre el Niágara", by Marianela Boán, a classic of Cuban modern dance, inspired by the play of the same name by the Peruvian writer Alonso Alegría. Rafael Bonachela's duo "Soledad" can be seen, with music by Astor Piazolla and songs by Agustín Lara, sung by Chavela Vargas. The show "Mundo interpretado" closes, a piece by the Brazilian Juliano Nunes, which has the original score by Pepe Gavilondo and designs by the visual artist Glenda León.

Tickets for "Phoenix" will be on sale from nine in the morning on Tuesday, December 8 at the theater box office. Due to the necessary restrictions imposed by the pandemic, only two tickets will be sold to each person.
